Leaders of “Competing” Churches Talk

A kingdom divided will not stand.” Sounds nice in theory, especially since it’s Biblical. But adhering to it can be a painful process including anger, frustration and even bitterness…This is the story of Pastors Tim Blevins of Life Community Church and Jeff Kapusta of Lifepoint Church, both in Wilmington, NC. They share about early relationship struggles they faced as the leaders of “competing” churches in the same city and how they found a way to overcome those struggles and form a strong, brother-like bond as a result.

  1. Good stuff… thanks for sharing. I’d call it, “Getting Real”
We have a group of 8-12 pastors who meet each week and we do pretty good at getting real with each other, but the more in-depth and nitty-gritty relationships are done between individuals in the group. There are two other pastors in this group with whom I could share just about anything.
