“The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant” (Psalm 25:14 NASB).

There is a secret place where the Lord meets with those who fear Him and whispers to them the mysteries of His covenant. He holds them in private counsel, face-to-face, friend-to-friend, as with Moses in the Tent of Meeting (Ex 33:11).

This personal Holy of Holies is the inner sanctuary of the heart. Here, in the depths of our hearts, God wants to reveal what’s on His mind. But, our hearts must be those that fear and love the Lord for only then will they be free from the fear of man and the love of the world (Pr. 29:25; 1Jn. 2:15). We will not hear His whispers if we’re more concerned about what people think about us, or worried about bills, or lusting after bling than we are about what’s on His heart. So, friends, let’s sanctify Christ as Lord in our hearts today (1Pt 3:15).

For, “we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us” (1Cor. 2:12). And, in the morning you will say, “I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me” (Ps. 16:7).
